About this Episode

The Jacksway Collective

The Jacksway Collective have their first guest on the podcast, Brendan Tuytel, and try to make sense of Franz Kafka's story "In the Penal Colony."

After discussing important topics such as coming out to your parents as podcasters, the trio unpack what the story has to say about justice, punishment, and societal change. They do their best to interpret what the hell happened in the Penal Colony before this story takes place--all while bargaining to get Brendan a better microphone and a sponsorship deal for the podcast.

Listen to The Jacksway Collective talk philosophy or fiction every week. A podcast where 20-somethings have in-depth, academic(ish), discussions about whatever the hell they want.
